Realtek Wi-Fi driver Auto installation script Here's the output of running chmod +x install.sh & /install.sh: # I tried more or less to debug but I'm simply awful with shell scripts so I didn't make too much progress. I bought a USB WiFi chip on Amazon (the Ourlink AC600) which uses the Realtek 8811CU chipset and the installation script it comes with for Linux is giving me errors right off the bat. Note: If you want 5GHz compatibility and do not have it, you will need to physically replace your wireless card, purchase a USB external network adapter, or purchase a new computer.I'm new here, so apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I do need to debug this setup script so it seems appropriate enough. This has to do with the hardware manufacturers because they do not specify on 802.11n whether they have included the additional parts needed in the chip to connect to 5GHz. If you are unable to connect, then you cannot use it, but if you are able to, then you can. * With 802.11n, its capability is unknown, and in order to find out you must attempt to connect to a 5GHz connection. If the network adapter does not support either of these network modes, it IS NOT Dual-Band Compatible.
